Carcassonne Family of Games

The Classic Territory Building Game from Z-Man Games

Carcassonne is an enduring favorite! It won the Spiel Des Jahres in 2001 and has been played by gamers all over the world ever since. With several stand-alone versions of the game, there’s a Carcassonne for just about every taste. Add expansion packs, and you can make the basic games into whole new experiences.

At its heart, Carcassonne games are all about gaining territory. Place tiles, claim features on the map (cities, roads, etc) with your meeples, and score points.

One of the best thing about Carcassonne is that it can be as simple or complicated as the players. So it’s a good entry into the vast world of strategy and territory games for upper elementary kids.

These are the versions currently in stock:

Carcassonne, the Original

2 - 5 players, 7 yrs & up

Inspired by the medieval fortresses of southern France, Carcassonne has you placing tiles around and constructing one fortified city. Claim cloisters, villages, roadways, and farms to make your portion of the map the most valuable. You’ll need to decide how you’re going to play… grab the most easy points, or commit to a longer strategy. But beware… Other players are claiming space as quickly as you are!

The version of Carcassonne currently in stock also includes The Abbot and The River expansion packs.

My First Carcassonne

2 - 4 players, 4 yrs & up

A Carcassonne for your youngest gamers! It stays true to the basic gameplay of the original, but offers simplified scoring and “territory” concepts.

The city is celebrating a holiday! The traditional celebration sees animals released into the streets. The children are then tasked with herding them back home. As you play, you create the city by laying down tiles and claiming streets with your meeples. The first player to place all of their pieces wins!

Carcassonne Safari

2 - 5 players, 7 yrs & up

We’re leaving medieval Europe for an adventure in the wilds of Africa! Place tiles to expand the map, connecting animal trails, discovering habitats and open land, and baobab trees. You place your meeples, move rangers, or expand watering holes to score.
